Wiener dogs are set to once again shine on Penticton's Lakeshore Drive.

The Penticton Dachshund Club has organized the second annual Hallo-Weenie Parade, set for Oct. 26.

Owners are encouraged to bring their Dachshund pups to the Loco Landing parking lot at 10:30 a.m., with the parade set to go down Lakeshore Drive and end at Yellow Dog Brewing on Winnipeg Street.

Admission is free, but donations are being accepted to the Summerland-based Critteraid Animal Sanctuary.

Dozens of wiener dogs dressed up in costumes and took part in the inaugural event in 2023.

Prizes on Saturday will be handed out to the best family costume, best-dressed weenie, and best-dressed "wanna-be weenie."

A photo booth was set up at Yellow Dog for the dogs, too.
