Central Okanagan Public Schools are ready to give a High Ten for Harmony today and they hope you can join them to celebrate 10 years of Harmony Day in the Okanagan.
Harmony Day events listed below to see students showcase their creativity, inclusively, and diversity.
All events listed here take place Wednesday, Feb. 15.
Pearson Road Elementary – 9:00 a.m.
Students enjoy songs and cultural dances, greetings in multiple languages, a world map of student origins, and more.
Chute Lake Elementary School – 10 a.m.
Students lead an assembly featuring video, presentations, and a school-wide song.
Casorso Elementary School – 12:15 p.m.
Assembly featuring songs and a variety of cultural dances to celebrate diversity.
Glenrosa Middle School – 12:00 p.m.
Cultural stations with a wide variety of activities, a flash mob performance by the choir, and a Quilt for Harmony.
Mount Boucherie Secondary School – 4:30 p.m.
Grad council and leadership students are putting on a potluck dinner for international students.
