A local cookbook author has earned more accolades.

Jennifer Schell, author of the The Butcher, The Baker, The Wine and Cheese Maker in the Okanagan, has been shortlisted in the Regional/Cultural Cookbooks category of the 2017 Taste Canada Awards.

In its 20th year, Taste Canada Awards/ Les Laur茅ats des Saveurs du Canada annually honours superior writing and publishing throughout Canada鈥檚 culinary community, in English and French.

鈥淎lthough my books have been recognized on the international stage, this nomination coming from my peers in my own country means so much to me,鈥 said Schell.

A Gala will be held in downtown Toronto, where the Gold and Silver Award winners will be announced.

Jennifer Schell is a food and wine writer, columnist, and editor of BC Food & Wine Trails Magazine. Her most recent book is The Butcher, the Baker, the Wine & Cheese Maker by the Sea, a cookbook that celebrates the culinary culture of British Columbia鈥檚 southern West Coast and Vancouver Island.
