A volunteer group is giving thanks for support of its efforts help patients receive a warm, comfortable experience when visiting Shuswap Lake General Hospital. 

Through income generated at the hospital's gift shop, book sale events and the very successful Christmas Gift Wrapping Station, the Shuswap Lake Health-Care Auxiliary was able to purchase a blanket warmer. 

"This was a significant expenditure for the Auxiliary, who are proud to contribute to the comfort and care of local patients," said the auxiliary in a media release. The machine has been installed on the hospital's second floor. 

Recognized by their red coats, Shuswap Lake Health-Care Auxiliary volunteers have been providing comfort and support at the hospital and at Bastion Place for more than a century. New members are always welcome. For more information, contact President Edie Swanson at ediejack@telus.net.
