The donation is from the dealer's A Drive For A Cause campaign.

It's $10K for a local organization from the kindness of a local business and its customers.

Vernon Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, on 27th Street, donated $10,000 to North Okanagan Youth and Family Services Society (NOYFSS) Friday, Nov. 15.

The donation comes from the dealer's customer-driven initiative, A Drive For A Cause.

"With each vehicle purchase, our customers are given the opportunity to support one of three selected charities," said Tanis Clark, business development coordinator with Vernon Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram.

"Their choices help shape our community support, making this donation to NOYFSS a direct result of their involvement and care."

Every 100th sale triggers a $10,000 donation to the cause that the dealer's customers choose.

NOYFSS is an organization that provides critical support to families and youth in the North Okanagan, with its offices based in downtown Vernon.

"We are so thankful to the team at Vernon Dodge and the North Okanagan community for considering NOYFSS  as a recipient of this donation," said NOYFSS executive director Dean Francks.

"A donation this significant is huge for our organization and will impact many families in the community in a positive way."
