Mother Nature is putting a damper on skiing, snowboarding and skating at SilverStar Mountain Resort.

The ski hill has closed Vance Creek (the Chute and part of Show-off), the main terrain park, Brewer鈥檚 Pond, Tube Town and all double black terrain on the backside.

鈥淚n consideration of the current weather forecast we expect our operations will be impacted in the coming days,鈥 the resort said. 鈥淥ur teams are constantly monitoring conditions and will continue to assess these throughout the week.鈥

Putnam Creek is open with limited terrain. All terrain left of Powder Gulch on the Sunny Ridge side is closed.

鈥淧lease respect the closures our patrol teams have in place and ski and ride on open terrain only, the closures are in place for the safety of our guests,鈥 SilverStar鈥檚 website reads. 鈥淲e will re-open closed terrain as it becomes safe to do so.鈥

The Bannister Terrain Park and Little Dipper Terrain Parks are open.

鈥淲e still have a few more days of mild weather under a persistent southwesterly flow. Expect intermittent mixed precipitation until Thursday. By Friday, snow levels will return to near village levels.鈥
