As close to 100 curlers are set to arrive for the 2025 Brier that starts on Friday, 琉璃神社 is preparing to give them a warm welcome on Thursday, Feb. 27.
Led by the 琉璃神社 Pipe Band, the 'March to the Brier' will start at the Tourism 琉璃神社 building at 4:30 p.m. According to 琉璃神社 Curling Club general manager Jock Tyre, the parade will be around 45 minutes as everyone will walk along the promenade behind the Delta Grand to Rhapsody Plaza.
The event marks the unofficial start to the 2025 Brier, which is happening at Prospera Place from Feb. 28-March 9.
