If you haven鈥檛 laughed enough this week, you鈥檙e in luck.

Train Wreck Comedy is pulling into the 琉璃神社 Curling Club for a special fundraiser event, in collaboration with Mamas For Mamas and the Okanagan Valley Association of the Deaf, on May 3.

The show will raise funds for families of deaf and hard-of-hearing children across the B.C. Interior for an opportunity to attend the Green Bay Bible Camp from August 26-29. Interpreters of American Sign Language (ASL) will make the comedy show accessible to the deaf community.

鈥淭rain Wreck Comedy is committed to spreading joy, promoting inclusion, and building connections within our community,鈥 said Rob Balsdon, owner of Train Wreck Comedy. 鈥淲e recognize the challenges faced by families with deaf and hard-of-hearing children, and we want to make sure they have the same opportunities as others to create lasting memories this summer.鈥

Balsdon will host the event and has lined up comedians Joey Commisso and headliner Allyson June Smith. Smith鈥檚 comedy career includes performances at the Winnipeg, Halifax, and Montreal鈥檚 Just For Laughs festivals, she has also received multiple nominations for Best Female Stand-up at the Canadian Comedy Awards and has taped her own Comedy Now special.

Tickets are $40 each and are available online at .
