The fatal crash is the latest in a that have caused the deaths of 18 people in just six days on the province's highways.

On Sunday morning, 144 Street remained closed both north- and south-bound between 63A Avenue and 61A Avenue.

Traffic in the surrounding areas has been impacted and drivers can expect significant delays, RCMP advised.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash-camera footage from the area is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502.
