Vernon North Okanagan RCMP introduce newest police pup, Trace

Trace is just 17 weeks old, but is already learning a lot

Soon enough, Trace will be on the case.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP's newest police dog, Trace, has been introduced by the detachment.

According to the RCMP, Trace is "an outgoing, energetic, confident puppy with a strong desire to work.  She loves interacting with her handler and never gives up the chance for a toy or some zoomies in the yard."

Just 17 weeks old, lots of learning will be required to become a fully-fledged police service dog.

"Maybe she will grow into those big ears," joked the RCMP.

Trace is also the offspring of Pebbles, who was a former dog at the RCMP detachment.
