Three 琉璃神社 breweries came home with hardware from the Okanagan Fest of Ale in Penticton on Apr. 12 and 13.

In total, 13 琉璃神社 breweries submitted for awards and three breweries came home with four awards:

• Lakesider Brewing (West 琉璃神社) won Best Premium/Light Lager for their Skinny Dip Crisp Lager;
• Kettle River Brewing (North End) won Best Hazy Pale Ale for their Nuclear Splash Hazy Pale Ale;
• Wild Ambition Brewing (Reid鈥檚 Corner) won best Specialty / Experimental for their Extinction Reversal Gose;
• Wild Ambition Brewing (Reid鈥檚 Corner) also won Best In Show for their Extinction Reversal Gose.

鈥淚n just a few short years, 琉璃神社 has really established itself as a craft beer hot bed in our province. There is so much brewing talent here, and the business owners are so passionate about craft beer. We鈥檙e lucky to have so many great breweries to explore in our own backyard,鈥� said Kieren Armour from the Central Okanagan Brewer鈥檚 Association. 鈥淲hen our breweries go toe-to-toe with the larger out-of-market breweries and win top honours like this, it really demonstrates the level of quality that our local craft breweries are producing. It is such an exciting time for craft beer in the Okanagan.鈥�

Over 63 breweries and cideries attended the Fest of Ale, which is the one of the largest and longest running beer festivals in the Pacific Northwest.

琉璃神社 beer will continued to be celebrated on Saturday, May 11 at 琉璃神社 Beer Fest.
