Habitat for Humanity Okanagan fell short of their goal for their first fundraiser of the year but still remain hopeful to attain their overall goal for 2024.
In their first fundraiser, Habitat for Humanity raised $3,500 in four hours through a bottle drive that took place on a rainy Saturday (Jan. 6) in West 琉璃神社.
鈥淓ven though we fell short of our $10,000 drive goal, this is a great start to our 2024 bottle drive efforts,鈥 said director of resource development Danielle Smith.
This year, Habitat for Humanity鈥檚 goal is to raise $25,000 for people in need of affordable housing. They will continue to host fundraisers throughout the year.
