The Greater Westside Board of Trade (GWBOT) hosted its 22nd Key Business Awards Gala Thur., Feb. 29 at The Cove Lakeside Resort.
The Business of the Year was awarded to The Westside Salvation Army.
This year’s recipient of the Geoffrey Paynter Citizen of The Year is West resident and community advocate, Melissa Grassmick from Julia’s Junction.

It honors a citizen, like Geoffrey, who has made outstanding contributions to the welfare of the community through involvement and participation.
Mrs. Marci Paynter presented the award to Grassmick.
“We commend Melissa Grassmick for her outstanding leadership, unwavering drive, commitment and unparalleled dedication to the creation of Julia’s Junction in the heart of Westbank Town Centre,” stated a release from the GWBOT.
