For the first time since 2019, the Lake Country Indoor Children鈥檚 Festival made its return on Saturday, Mar. 9.
A variety of entertainment was scattered across George Elliot Secondary School and the Creekside Theatre as more than 1,000 people attended the four-hour event.
The foyer was packed with activities as well as both gyms. Some of the activities included soccer, capture the flag, basketball, table tennis, a puzzle station, a bouncy castle, painting, and much more. A bylaw officer also had a sprinting station set up, to see how fast kids could run using a radar gun. There was also a 45-minute family Zumba session.
There were also many stations with multi-cultural activities, including trying on a turban.
In the theatre, Alex Zerbe the Zaniac performed two shows to a full house.
鈥淚 try to make my show like the movie Shrek, super entertaining for the kids but there鈥檚 a whole other level of comedy for teens and adults,鈥 said Zerbe before the shows.
The Lake Country Fire Department was also on scene showing kids one of their fire trucks.
