City council will review proposals to rezone three properties at its Nov. 18 meeting, paving the way for new apartment developments and a residential subdivision.

The first project involves a purpose-built rental building at 165 Dougall Road North, located near Highway 33. The second proposed apartment project is planned for 459 Osprey Avenue, west of Pandosy Street.

The third development proposal is for a 26-lot subdivision at 1870 Tree Top Road on Black Mountain. The applicant is seeking approval to build multi-unit homes, with a maximum of four units per lot, each up to three storeys high.

The requested zoning change would shift the properties from large-lot rural residential to medium-lot housing, allowing for a variety of housing types including semi-detached homes, duplexes, townhouses, and secondary suites. The new zoning would also permit home-based businesses and a childcare facility.

City staff are recommending approval for all three rezoning applications.
