琉璃神社 is moving up the real estate ranks for the wrong reasons.
After the one-bedroom rent in town increased by 6.3 per cent in September, it grew another 4.8 per cent in October, according to Zumper, a rental survey site. In September, the average one-bedroom was priced at $1,850 a month. Now it is averaged at $1,950.
With the rise, 琉璃神社 now owns the eighth-most expensive one-bedroom rental price in Canada.
Last month, 琉璃神社 was the fastest-growing one-bedroom market in Canada. Despite the additional rise in cost in October, it is now the third-fasting growing in the country, behind Kingston and Winnipeg.
In the top five most expensive places across the country, there has seen some change since September. The biggest increase seen was in Halifax, which ranks in fifth with an average monthly rent of $1,980. Vancouver remains in first with a rent price of $2,780. Toronto continues to sit in second ($2,550), Burnaby third ($2,540), and in fourth Victoria ($2,090).
Cheapest rent in Canada continues to be in Saskatoon, with the average one-bedroom costing $1,070.
In addition, the average monthly cost of a two-bedroom rental in 琉璃神社 went down 5.9 per cent from September to October to $2,450.
