It's beginning to look a lot like winter on the Okanagan Connector

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement

Snow falling on the Okanagan Connector on Aug. 27, 2024.

Snow is falling on Highway 97C. 

Areas around Elkhart and the Pennask Summit have snow accumulating on the side of the road. 

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Okanagan Connector with flurries expected to continue into the evening.  

 

With snow levels lowering to near 1600 m, showers have changed to flurries near Pennask Summit along the Okanagan Connector, stated Environment Canada. 

Drivers are reminded that posted speed limits are for ideal road conditions.
