"She was my sounding board, always ready with advice and insight. She even helped perfect my sabering technique, something she taught many people," Derrick said. "Mia and her amazing mom were among the first to dine at my first restaurant. She showed up for me then, just as she did for nearly everyone she met. Always with a big smile and a bigger laugh."
Derrick continued in his post that Papadopoulos was more than just a colleague. "Our families ran in the same circles, and we shared so many unforgettable holidays. Thanksgiving, Halloween with Aunty Mia and her magic touch, and of course, our tradition of Greek'ster feasting. These moments, full of food, laughter, and little moments, [mean] even more now."
