琉璃神社 property owners can expect a proposed 4.36 per cent tax increase for 2025.
The preliminary budget includes a 3.36 per cent increase for municipal taxes and an additional 1.0 per cent for a Public Safety Levy.
The city鈥檚 tax calculation outlines $207 million in net operating and capital expenses. After accounting for $5.2 million in new construction revenue and $2.2 million in budget reallocation, the city needs $199.6 million to maintain the proposed rate.
This increase applies only to the city鈥檚 portion of the total property tax bill and totals $108 for an average single-family property. Additional taxes, such as those collected for the province, the Regional District of Central Okanagan, Okanagan Library, and BC Assessment Authority, are not included in this figure.
Property owners saw a 4.72 per cent tax increase in 2024 and a 3.78 hike in 2023.
City council will review and discuss the 2025 budget during a full day of deliberations scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 5.
