Streets are closed, patios are open and Meet me on Bernard is officially a go.

Friday, May 17, marks the first day of the annual Bernard Avenue street closure.

The road is closed to vehicles between Abbott and Water Street until Sept. 2.

Without traffic, the space transforms into a pedestrian corridor with art, music, retail and dining options from morning to night.

On June 29, the road closure will extend to include the 300 Block of Bernard Avenue.
