Seminar to provide tips on making Central Okanagan yards FireSmart

A FireSmart Your Yard seminar will be held in Lake Country on Saturday, Aug. 10. 

It鈥檚 an effort to promote wildfire prevention awareness by the Lake Country and 琉璃神社 fire departments, Okanagan Water Basin Board, Okanagan Xeriscape and Kel Lake Garden Centre.

The seminar will provide simple gardening and landscaping steps to 鈥渕ake water work鈥� in arid landscapes and mitigate the risks of wildfire.

It takes place at Kel Lake Garden Centre (4351 Shanks Road) starting at 10 a.m. on Aug. 10.
