The 琉璃神社 RCMP is joining forces with the Salvation Army this holiday season to bring smiles to children in need with its annual "Stuff a Cruiser" toy campaign.

On Saturday, Nov. 30, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., police cruisers and donation boxes will be set up at the 琉璃神社 RCMP detachment parking lot on Clement Avenue and Toys "R" Us at 2020 Harvey Avenue.

The public is encouraged to drop off unwrapped toys at either location, where officers and volunteers will be on hand to "stuff" the donated toys into the police cruisers. All contributions will benefit families supported by the local Salvation Army.

鈥淚f you鈥檙e able to make a donation, we鈥檇 love to see you at one of our locations,鈥 said Cpl. Michael Gauthier, media relations officer.

Last year鈥檚 event raised over $11,000 and collected 500 toys. A generous matching donation from Stutters Restoration in West 琉璃神社 helped ensure more families received gifts during the holiday season. The toys collected this year will bring joy to children across the Okanagan, many of whom might otherwise go without a gift this Christmas.

For those unable to attend on Nov. 30, donations can be dropped off at the 琉璃神社 RCMP detachment from Monday to Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
