The City of West 琉璃神社 is resuming its annual water main flushing program.
Crews will start in the former Sunnyside/Pritchard System (Zone 3) on Wednesday, April 2. During flushing, customers may experience temporary water pressure reductions or discoloration which should be brief and only occur while the area is being flushed.
While flushing is underway will be on an isolated, precautionary water quality advisory. An alternative source of drinking water is available at the bulk filling station at Shannon Lake and Asquith Roads.
Water main flushing will occur from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday, with the possibility of weekend and evening work. Crews will post signs, and residents may hear and see city staff and vehicles working at a nearby hydrant.
Due to the potential for settled manganese in water mains being stirred up, the city recommends that parents with infants in the Rose Valley Water Service Area not use tap water in baby formula while water main flushing is occurring within their zone.
