The third annual 琉璃神社鈥檚 Strongest competition took place on Saturday, May 18

A bit of morning rain didn鈥檛 stop the strongest men and women in town from competing at the third annual 琉璃神社鈥檚 Strongest weightlifting competition on Saturday, May 18.

Held at City Park, 77 athletes went through five events as they competed to win a cash prize.

The five events were: car deadlift, bag toss, log ladder, timber frame, and sandbag load.

During the car deadlift, athletes attempted to lift either a Toyota Corolla and a Toyota Tacoma.

While it is a competition, all the athletes cheer on each other throughout the day as some athletes try to accomplish personal bests as well.
