The Calcite Creek wildfire south of Princeton and near Eastgate has grown to more than 911 hectares as nearby communities remain on evacuation alert.
The fire was caused by a lightning strike on July 18, and by 3 p.m. on that day, the Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen issued evacuation alerts for Eastgate, Placer Lake and the Pasayten Area.
Those evacuation alerts have remained unchanged since they were first issued.
Structural protection crews have been deployed and have been working on protection plans with residents of Eastgate and Bonnevier, according to the RDOS.
The RDOS' Emergency Operation Centre has asked any agricultural producers or anyone with grazing lease land to contact the EOC at 250-490-4225.
The BC Wildfire Service has deployed ground crews, heavy equipment, aircrew, and structural protection teams to the fire.
