A driver's window was shattered by another driver following an interaction at the Okanagan Landing Plaza Friday.
Vernon North Okanagan RCMP were called to the scene around 4 p.m. Aug. 16 for a report of a vehicle window being shot out in the parking lot.
"The owner of the vehicle told the responding officers they were parked in the lot when they were approached by an unknown man driving a white car," said Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officer. "An interaction took place and at some point, the suspect drove up next to the victim's vehicle and possibly shot something at the passenger side window, shattering it."
The vehicle drove away and police were called.
"Evidence was recovered by police at the scene, however, nothing was recovered that would confirm the presence of a firearm."
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP at 250-545-7171 and quote file #2024-13955.
