A stolen vehicle spotted in a Glenmore area parking lot by 琉璃神社 RCMP on Friday afternoon led to the dramatic arrest of two people, a man and a woman.
Shortly after 10 a.m. this morning, 琉璃神社 RCMP received a report of a suspicious set of circumstances involving a man and a woman associated to a white Mazda pickup truck in the 1900 block of Bernard Avenue.
Police were told the vehicle was last seen leaving the area of Spall Road and Bernard Avenue.
A subsequent query of the vehicle's licence plate, along with the vehicles description provided, revealed that the vehicle had been reported stolen Sunday, Oct.2, from Ethel Street in 琉璃神社.
鈥淩CMP officers flooded the area and quickly spotted the alleged stolen vehicle in a parking lot in the area of Kane Road and Glenmore Road,鈥 said Cst. Jesse O鈥橠onaghey in a press release.
鈥淏oth occupants of the vehicle, a man and a woman, followed the directions of our officers at the scene. The duo were taken into police custody in a safe manner and without incident ."
The two suspects, a 47-year-old 琉璃神社 man and a 44-year-old 琉璃神社 woman, each of no fixed address, remain in police custody as they face potential charges.
