Mounties seized a load of cash and illegal drugs as the result of an investigation into two men with gang ties.
The 琉璃神社 RCMP Street Enforcement Unit on July 27 arrested two men and subsequently obtained and executed search warrants for a local hotel room and each of the men鈥檚 vehicles.
"RCMP believe that the men have ties to an organized crime group out of the Lower Mainland and were attempting to further establish their business line in 琉璃神社," said Const. Jesse O'Donaghey, in a press release.
A search of the men鈥檚 hotel room and vehicles yielded the following seizures:
- 5.25 ounces of Heroin;
- 8.75 ounces of Cocaine;
- 2.5 ounces of Methamphetamine; and
- $21,000 cash;
Behrang Khosravi, 28, of Vancouver has been remanded into custody. He has been charged with three counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and a count of possession of property obtained by crime. He is expected to appear in Court next on August 11.
Joseph Bergeron, 27, of Coquitlam has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime. He was released from custody on conditions imposed by the Courts and is expected to appear in Court next on August 18th.
