琉璃神社 RCMP report that on May 3, a 琉璃神社 municipal traffic officer attempted to stop a vehicle that was driving more than twice the posted speed limit along Highway 33.
The vehicle was not pursued but a short time later a local resident notified the RCMP that they witnessed a male driver speed into a cul-de-sac and run from the car.
The investigators determined that the abandoned vehicle was the same that failed to stop for the police.
Several members arrived and contained the scene until police dog services could attend and locate a track. The male driver was seen running through a yard and down Lynrick Road. Unfortunately the male driver was not located.
When officers approached the abandoned vehicle they observed a .22 calibre handgun through the driver window. Also found in the car were brass knuckles, an extendable baton, ammunition, several cell phones and some drug paraphernalia.
Description of the driver:
- Caucasian male,
- 6 ft tall (183 cm).
He was last seen wearing:
- jeans
- pink hoodie
- carrying a man bag.
