Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to a report of a collision between a school bus and a pickup truck Thursday, Nov. 21, at around 7:30 a.m. on Trinity Valley Road outside of Lumby.

Winter road conditions appear to be a contributing factor in a collision involving a North Okanagan school bus.

A southbound pickup truck and a northbound school bus collided at around 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, on Trinity Valley Road, between Lumby and Enderby.

The driver and lone occupant of the truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

"No injuries were reported to the occupants of the bus," said Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media liaison officer Const. Chris Terleski.

Road conditions were slippery at the time of the incident.
