Update: Sunday June 12 Ride for Dad route details.
Motorists can expect minor traffic delays between 10 and 10:30 a.m. Sunday June 12 along the Okanagan Ride for Dad route.
The 琉璃神社 RCMP, RCMP Central Okanagan Traffic Services and the RCMP Integrated Road Safety Unit, supplemented by local traffic control flagging companies will provide traffic control.

Three events are scheduled to take place in 琉璃神社 next weekend, giving residents of all ages something to enjoy outdoors - and driver plenty think about as they deal with traffic restrictions.
First up is the annual Fat Cat Children鈥檚 Festival in Waterfront park. June 10 and 11.
Waterfront Park will be open only to ticket holders on Friday, June 10 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, June 11 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The Parade will take place on Saturday, June 11, starting at 10 a.m. on Cawston Avenue.
From 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., Coronation Avenue from St. Paul to Richter Street and Richter Street from Clement Avenue to Cawston Avenue will be closed to accommodate parade marshaling. Road closures will take place from 9:45 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. along Cawston Avenue, starting at Richter Street and ending at Sunset Drive as the parade makes its way up Water Street, with roads opening after the parade passes.
Traffic marshals will direct traffic and minor delays should be expected along the parade route. Cars parked in restricted areas will be towed to the parking lot at the corner of Doyle Avenue and Water Street.
Minor re-routing of transit buses may be required to avoid Cawston Avenue and the north end of Water Street during the parade.
Parking closures and restrictions will include:
June 10:
6 a.m. to 2 p.m.鈥擮n-street parking restrictions on the west side of Water Street from Sunset Drive to the cross walk between Waterfront Park and Prospera.
6 a.m. to 4 p.m.鈥擶aterfront Park (Dolphins) Parking Lot will be closed.
June 11:
6 a.m. to 12 p.m.鈥擮n-street parking restrictions along parade route and marshaling area.
8 a.m. to 8 p.m.鈥擶aterfront Park (Dolphins) Parking Lot will be closed.

On Sunday, June 12, the Women鈥檚 5 and 10 K Walk and Run and Strong Kids Run wil take place.
While there are no there are no road closures or parking restrictions in effect, residents, motorists and cyclists are asked to watch for increased pedestrian traffic, between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m., as participants make their way from City Park parking lot along the Abbott Street Corridor towards the intersection at Lakeshore Rd and Barrera Rd before returning to City Park.
In addition, the entrance to Rotary Beach (at Lakeshore Rd and Barrera Rd) will be closed temporarily to accommodate a turnaround point for the 10-km runners and will be re-opened as soon as the final runners have passed this point.
Also on Sunday, June 12, will be the annual Motorcycle Ride for Dad too help raise funds for, and awareness of, prostate cancer.
The ride will go through the city, with riders leaving Banner Recreation on McCurdy Place and heading south on Highway 97 to the downtown core before crossing the bridge into West 琉璃神社.
To maintain the procession, lane closures will be in effect along the route including downtown; Ellis Street (Highway 97 to Bernard Avenue.), Bernard Avenue (Ellis Street to Abbott Street) and Abbott Street (Bernard Avenue to Highway 97) will be closed for approximately 15 minutes starting at 10:15 a.m. Motorists are asked to obey Traffic Control Personnel and RCMP along the route.
Minor re-routing or delays of transit buses may also occur in the downtown core during this temporary closure.
