A shooting that took place early morning (Wednesday) has prompted an investigation by Vernon RCMP.
Police received reports of shots fired at approximately 2:30 a.m. at the Pleasant Valley 55 plus Manufactured Home Community trailer park, as neighbours reported hearing four loud pops.
Officers responded and confirmed that multiple shots had been fired.
"No injuries were reported and findings from the initial investigation suggest it was targeted, and not random," said Const. Chris Terleski, media relations officers for the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP.
Anyone who witnessed the event, or any suspicious activity in the area at the time of the shooting is asked to call 250-545-7171, and quote file number 2024-15539.
