Vancouver Canucks fans may have an anthem for the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs 鈥 courtesy of a pair of Abbotsford performers.

Game Night, a collaboration of DJ Heer and rapper A.S.M., dropped on Thursday (April 18) night on YouTube and has quickly gained attention among Canucks fans.

The video features a group of Canucks fans led by Heer and A.S.M. rooting on the team in a number of different locations across Vancouver, including outside Rogers Arena and Robson Square. Canucks highlights are also interspersed within the video.

The song鈥檚 chorus states:

Late night, game night

Back again you already know

On the ice, we not nice

Go Canucks, go, go, go, go

It鈥檚 also believed to be the first song ever that shouts out Thatcher Demko, Conor Garland and Elias Lindholm in the secondary chorus.

Other players receiving a mention include: J.T. Miller, Roberto Luongo, Quinn Hughes, Elias Pettersson, Teddy Blueger and Arshdeep Bains.

The song has created a debate with fans, as some believe a song like this could create a jinx or bad luck. Fans online cited a Calgary Flames song from 2022 and and Edmonton Oilers song from 2023. Both the Flames and the Oilers lost in the second round of the playoffs in those respective years.

Popular hockey analyst and former player Paul Bissonnette weighed in on the subject.

鈥淪ome are saying the Canucks can鈥檛 recover from this. Early adversity and we haven鈥檛 seen puck drop in the series yet,鈥 he tweeted out.

Heer has been a DJ for the past 18 years and has performed for both the Vancouver and Abbotsford Canucks, BC Lions, Vancouver Whitecaps, Dallas Stars and San Jose Sharks for those team鈥檚 respective South Asian-themed nights.

He was also a part of Surrey鈥檚 most recent Canada Day celebration and has performed at events across the globe. He also is behind the turntable at birthdays, weddings, clubs and festivals.

Heer said he is a lifelong Canucks fan.

鈥淚nspiration behind it was being a diehard Canucks fan my entire life and finally now going from a DJ to a music producer,鈥 he said.

He explained that the video was a one-day shoot lasting about eight hours. It also features an appearance from former WWE star Gurv Sihra of the Bollywood Boyz tag team.

A.S.M., who came up with the lyrics for the track, released an album in 2023 and has several new singles out for 2024.

Vancouver opens the playoffs against the Nashville Predators at Rogers Arena on Sunday (April 21)
