The iconic putter toss of Abbotsford golfer Nick Taylor after making a 72-foot eagle putt to win the RBC Canadian Open will now be immortalized in the logo for the 2024 event.

Golf Canada and RBC announced on Friday (Dec. 1) that they have reimagined the tournament logo for the 2024 RBC Canadian Open at Hamilton Golf & Country Club with Taylor鈥檚 memorable moment.

The new logo features a silhouette of Taylor following his championship putt on the fourth playoff hole at Oakdale Golf and Country Club to defeat Tommy Fleetwood on June 11 and become the first Canadian in 69 years to win Canada鈥檚 National Men鈥檚 Open Championship.

鈥淭o be a part of the 2024 RBC Canadian Open logo is really special,鈥 stated Taylor in a press release. 鈥淲hen I first saw the re-design with myself as the swing man, I was flattered by the tribute and thought it was very cool. I am excited to get to Hamilton and looking forward to defending my title.鈥

The new logo will feature prominently in the lead up to Taylor鈥檚 title defence at Hamilton Golf and Country Club.

鈥淲e are excited to pay tribute to the epic performance of Nick鈥檚 amazing win by capturing the energy of that moment within the brand identity and logo mark for the 2024 RBC Canadian Open,鈥 stated Golf Canada Chief Marketing Officer Tim McLaughlin. 鈥淣ick鈥檚 historic victory will be celebrated in the lead up to and throughout the 2024 RBC Canadian Open and the reimagined logo is a fitting homage to both Nick and this most special moment for our National Open.鈥

The 2024 RBC Canadian Open runs from May 28 to June 2 at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club and is the 113th playing of Canada鈥檚 National Men鈥檚 Open Championship.
