What do baseball, fireworks and fundraising have in common?

All three will be centre stage Wednesday night at Elks Stadium when the 琉璃神社 Falcons take on the Cowlitz Black Bears in West Coast League action. First pitch is 6:35 p.m.

With the goal of raising $50,000 this year, the Falcons are hosting their annual Fire Fighters Burn Fund charity game.

All ticket sales will be donated to the cause.

Following the game, an on-field concert will be followed by a fireworks display in centrefield.

With the Canada Day fireworks in 琉璃神社 having recently been cancelled, the Falcons are happy to be offering their traditional display.

鈥淚t鈥檚 one of our favourite games of the season,鈥� said Falcons鈥� general manager Mark Nonis. 鈥淭he firefighters have been so great the last few years coming out to support the game and we expect another great night.

Tickets for the game are available at 琉璃神社鈥檚 Main Fire Hall on Enterprise Way or at the gate.

Following the series against Cowlitz, the Falcons will head south for three games against the Yakima Valley Pippins from July 1 to 3.
