Heat bronzed at ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç tourney

Heat U12B all-star team takes third in first tournament of season

The ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Heat U12B all-stars celebrate the bronze medal at their own tournament last weekend at High Noon Park. The ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Heat came away with a third-place showing at their U12B tournament last weekend at High Noon Park.

After going 2-1 in the round robin, the Heat—consisting of players from ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç, West ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç, Summerland, Enderby and the Kootenays—sat in fifth place in the tournament’s gold bracket.

In a must-win Sunday in the quarterfinals, ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç delivered with an 8-1 win over the Richmond Islanders ‘05 team.

In the semifinals, the Heat fell to the unbeaten Langley Xtreme 05 who were 35-0 this season.

ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç rebounded in the bronze medal game with a 12-1 win over the North Shore Stars.

Next stop for the Heat is the Softball B.C. provincials, July 14 to 16 in Ridge Meadows.
