It's so far, so good for Kamloops' Corryn Brown's team at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts.

The annual Canadian championships for the top curlers in the country are through four days of the 10-day tournament in Thunder Bay, Ont.

Team Brown, representing B.C. and coached by Vernon's Jim Cotter, has gone 3-1 through four games. Game one was an 11-4 win over Team Selena Sturmay from Alberta. Next was a tight, 9-8 defeat at the hands of Kayla Skrlik's Alberta team. Brown rebounded with a 7-6 win over Saskatchewan's Nancy Martin before another victory, 9-3 over Northern Ontario's Krista McCarville.

Team Brown has four more round-robin games to play. Her toughest test will be against two-time defending Scotties champion Rachel Homan's Team Canada rink, who is undefeated through three games.

Brown plays Monday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m. against Nunavut's Julia Weagle, then Team Homan on Wednesday, Feb. 19 at 9 a.m. Later that day, Team New Brunswick's Melissa Adams faces off against Brown at 7 p.m. Brown's final round-robin game is set for Thursday, Feb. 20 at 2 p.m. against Prince Edward Island's Veronica Mayne.

The top three teams in each nine-team pool will advance to the playoffs. Brown currently sits third in Pool A.

Coached by the veteran Cotter, Team Brown consists of third Erin Pincott, second Sarah Koltun, lead Samantha Fisher and alternate Kristen Ryan.
