Penticton Vees forward Max Heise has cracked the NHL Central Scouting’s preliminary "players to watch" list ahead of the 2025 draft.
Heise — now in his second year with the Vees — received a 'W' rating, indicating a potential sixth or seventh-round pick in the upcoming NHL draft, set for June 2025 in Los Angeles.
The Calgary, Alta. product sits fourth in team scoring this season with six goals and eight points in 11 games.
One of nine BCHL players to make the cut, Heise is committed to Michigan State University.
NHL Central Scouting will release its midterm rankings in January, and final draft rankings in April.
Heise and the Vees are back in action Friday, Oct. 25, when they visit the Trail Smoke Eaters.
