Pridman heading to OHL in series of West 琉璃神社 Warriors roster moves

A Memorial Cup-winning defenceman has joined the Warriors

The West 琉璃神社 Warriors have made a series of roster moves, which includes losing one of their top scorers from the last season.

In one of many roster moves, forward Jack Pridham has been released by the Warriors to join the Kitchener Rangers of the OHL. In 66 games with the Warriors, Pridham scored 28 goals and added 30 assists.

The 19-year-old is also committed to Boston University and was drafted in the third round (92nd overall) by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2024 NHL Entry Draft.

Before last weekend's Alberta road trip, in which the Warriors went 1-1, the team signed Norwegian defenceman Philip M酶nnich Hagen. The 2005-born, Hagen scored six goals and added 24 assists in 30 games last season for the Stavanger Oilers of the Norway U20 league.

He collected his first career BCHL point, an assist, in his second career game on Saturday, Nov. 9 against Okotoks.

On Monday, Nov. 11, the team announced they've added two more players who bring experience to the line-up, Nathan Drapeau and Tyler Grahme, both born in 2004.

Drapeau has a Memorial Cup to his name, which he won in 2022 with the Saint John Sea Dogs of the QMJHL. He played 240 games in the league, collecting 77 points.

"Nathan brings experience and poise to our back end," said Warriors head coach and general manager Simon Ferguson. "He鈥檚 a Memorial Cup Champion who can quarterback our powerplay and play in all situations. He鈥檚 a highly-coveted player and we expect him to play a big role for us.鈥

Grahame brings centre-depth to the team as well as 128 games of experience in the NAHL and USHL.

鈥淭yler has shown he can produce at the Junior level," added Ferguson. "We expect him to win faceoffs, play special teams, and produce offensively. We are excited to add him to our lineup.鈥

Drapeau and Grahme are expected to make their BCHL debuts on Friday, Nov. 15 when the Warriors are in Trail to take on the Smoke Eaters. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
