Vernon鈥檚 Justin Sigal has added a bronze medal at the 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games in Austria.

Sigal skied to a bronze medal Friday in the 2.5-kilometre M4 cross-country ski race. He earlier won silver in the five-km classic.

Sigal鈥檚 parents, Les and Jackie, were on-hand to witness their son鈥檚 medal-winning races.

Sigal and Okanagan training partner, Francis Stanley of 琉璃神社, helped Canada finish seventh in the M02 4 x 1 km freestyle relay race.

All three Okanagan cross-country skiers on Team Canada are returning home with medals.

Stanley won gold in the M1 2.5-km classic race. He was also in the top-10 in the M1 10-km freestyle (sixth).

Tracey Melesko was a double gold medalist, winning the F2 5-km classic and helped Canada win the 4x1-km F01 freestyle relay. Melesko, who trains with Sigal and Stanley, added a bronze in the F1 2.5-km classic.

The trio, joined in Austria by coach Ray Huson of Penticton and coach/wax technician Garth Vickers of 琉璃神社, are set to land at 琉璃神社 Airport Sunday morning.

The closing ceremonies took place Friday evening.
