Tye Kitzman was a man on a mission Saturday night at the Apple Bowl.
For his efforts, the Okanagan Sun defensive back has been named the B.C. Football Conference鈥檚 defensive player of the week.
Kitzman registered five tackles, an assist, had a batted ball, and made a game-ending interception in the Sun鈥檚 season-opening 19-15 win over the Westshore Rebels.
鈥淭ye had a very good game,鈥� said Sun head coach Ben Macauley. 鈥淗e was a big factor for us on defense.鈥�
The Vernon native is in his third season as a member of the Sun.
