It was a ringette frenzy over the weekend in Vernon as the annual Autumn Blast tournament took over the city.

Three different rinks in Vernon (Kal Tire Place North/South and Priest Valley Arena) hosted 34 western Canada teams in four different age groups: U14, U16, U19  and the Open A division. 

The three-day competition saw nearly 90 games take place, hosted by the Greater Vernon Ringette Association (GVRA), which had seven teams participate. 

GVRA was able to win the U19 division, defeating Calgary in the final. In the open (18+) division, Vernon lost a heartbreaker in the bronze medal match, as they gave up a 3-0 lead to lose to 琉璃神社.
