Hill is flexing her muscles after completing the bike portion of the mammoth Triple Deca Continuous race in Italy.

After 19 days, the staggering 5,400 kilometres has been conquered on bike for Vernon''s Shanda Hill.

Next up is a mere 1,266 km run.

Hill is in the midst of the International Ultra Triathlon Associations (IUTA) Triple Deca Continuous race in La Garda, Italy, where 10 participants race the equivalent of 30 iron distance triathlons continuously.

After finishing the 114 km swim in 96 hours, the bike ride was completed in 19 days.

Hill as of Tuesday, Sept. 24, is 55 km into the run. She is currently the top woman in the race, and fifth overall.

"Unfortunately, she is already starting to get blisters," said a Facebook post from Hill's fiance Jacs Spence, who is chronicling her progress. "Let's hope she can keep the hot spots down on her feet. Shanda's determination and resilience are truly inspiring as she faces these challenges head-on."

Hill has 1,200 km left in the race and, if completed, would become the first woman to ever finish a Triple Deca.
