The West 琉璃神社 Warriors beat the Okotoks Oilers 3-1 on Friday, jan. 10 at Royal LePage Place.

The time change may have happened but it's still hockey season in 琉璃神社 this weekend.

琉璃神社 Rockets

For the first time in 21 days, the 琉璃神社 Rockets are back on home ice on Friday night (March 14).

The team is coming off of a eight-game road trip because of the Brier being in town. On the trip, the Rockets went 1-7. Since Jan. 21, the Rockets have lost 22 of their last 23 games and are 17-40-4-2.

When a rivalry is renewed, records go out of the window however as the Rockets welcome the Kamloops Blazers (22-36-4-1) on Friday night to Prospera Place.

This season, the Blazers lead the season series 4-1, with the last meeting coming on Feb. 15, a 4-3 Kamloops win.

Puck drop on Friday night is at 7:05 p.m.

The following night, the two teams will do it all again but at the Sandman Centre in Kamloops. Puck drop is at 6 p.m.

West 琉璃神社 Warriors

It's a one-game weekend for the West 琉璃神社 Warriors as they welcome the last place Powell River Kings to Royal LePage Place on Saturday, March 15.

With just five games to go in the BCHL's regular season, the Warriors are looking to punch their ticket to the postseason. They sit seventh in the Interior Conference with a record of 19-23-5-2.

Going into the weekend, the Okotoks Oilers sit one point behind the Warriors, while the Spruce Grove Saints sit six points behind.

They welcome Powell River to town who comes into the week last in the entire BCHL with a record of 9-33-5-1.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m.

UBCO Heat

The UBCO Heat's women's golf team is in action in Nevada on Friday and Saturday.

The team is taking part in the Vegas Warrior Invitational being held at Wildhorse Golf Course in Henderson, Nevada.

In their last tournament in early March, the ladies finished in third place with a team score of +96. UBCO's Emily Cornwall finished first individually with a score of +2.
