Winter market, light-up to take over downtown ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç

Santa and local dignitaries will light the tree at 5 p.m.

The annual Downtown ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Association Winter Street Market and Light-Up is taking place at Stuart Park on Saturday, Nov. 30.

With the holiday season around the corner, the Downtown ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Association (DKA) is set to host its annual Winter Street Market and Light-Up.

From 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, the event takes place at Stuart Park and Water Street will closed to drivers and be lined up with food and artisan vendors.

The tree light-up will be taking place at 5 p.m. and skating will be free throughout the event. Santa as well as local dignitaries will flip the switch to light the tree.

There will be hot chocolate available by donation from the Central Okanagan Food Bank and a BCLC 'warm-up' station. From 12 to 4:45 p.m., Photos with Santa will be available to take. Those interested can pre-register on .

Live entertainment will also be on display on the main stage throughout the day.

New this year is the Satellite Winter Street Market at Cannery Lane, which will also be filled with vendors and activities.

Because of the event, Water Street from the Doyle and Queensway roundabouts, will be closed from 6 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
