The Liberal, Conservative, New Democratic, Green and People's Party of Canada have all selected candidates in 琉璃神社 for the 2025 federal election

With the 2025 federal election campaign period in full swing, all major political parties in B.C. have announced the candidates who will be running to represent 琉璃神社 with a seat in the House of Commons.

The 琉璃神社 riding (previously called 琉璃神社-Lake Country) spans from Casorso Road in south 琉璃神社 to Ellison Lake in the north. A map of the riding and more information is available at

To inform 琉璃神社 residents about those vying for their votes, were sent five questions about key issues in 琉璃神社 on March 28, and have been given the opportunity to sit down for an on-camera interview. The candidate's bios, responses and interviews will be published as they are received, beginning on Monday March 31. 

琉璃神社's current Member of Parliament (MP) was the first to announce that she is running for re-election with the Conservative Party of Canada.

Gray has served as an MP under the Conservatives for two terms, first elected in 2019 and again in 2021. Gray has lived in 琉璃神社 since 1989 and is an entrepreneur and business owner. She was first elected to represent 琉璃神社 residents as a City Councillor in 2014 and served one term before transitioning to federal politics.

Stepping back into the public light after serving as an MP from 2015-2019, has announced that he will be the Liberal Party of Canada's candidate in 琉璃神社. Prior to his career in politics, Fuhr was fighter pilot and instructor with the Canadian Special Forces. He now works as a Transport Canada Pilot Examiner and consultant.

is the candidate representing the New Democratic Party of Canada. McAleese's family moved to the Okanagan from Vancouver when he was a child and he remained in the area for his education and career. McAleese has a degree in business and works as an independent video game developer.

 is Derek Thompson. Currently a Red Seal Industrial Crane Operator, Thompson spent many years working in the oil and gas industry and in logging and is now an advocate for remediation and restoration of abandoned wells.

is representing the People's Party of Canada. Ponton is committed to "defending core values of freedom, personal responsibility, respect, and fairness," with the PPC.
