The Okanagan Connector is fully reopen in both directions as of 2:45 a.m.

A vehicle fire that stopped traffic in the westbound lanes of the Okanagan Connector, near Peachland remains under assessment. Drive BC has reported that the left most lane has been opened but the centre and right lanes remain closed.The next Drive BC update will be available on April 10, at 8:00 a.m.

A semi-truck on fire just west of Trepanier has closed the Okanagan Connector in both directions on Wednesday afternoon, April 9.
Several people took to the Coquihalla Road Reports (And Area) Facebook group to let the public know about the blaze, in which the cabin of the truck was completed engulfed in flames and plumes of black smoke were seen.

Delays are expected in the area. Detours are available via Highway 97 or Highway 3A to 5A or Highway 3 to 5.
The truck was heading westbound, towards Merritt.
