Alberta Bound might be a fitting theme song for the West ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç Warriors heading into the 2024-25 BCHL regular season.
The Warriors will find themselves travelling to the prairie province for nine regular season games as five teams from Alberta will join the BCHL next season.
The new league configuration will include 21 teams spanning from Vancouver Island to Alberta spread out in four divisions within the Coastal and Interior conferences.
West ÁðÁ§ÉñÉç will remain on familiar territory in the Interior West division with Penticton, Salmon Arm, Trail and Vernon.
Cranbrook will join the Interior East division with Alberta teams Blackfaids, Brooks, Okotoks, Sherwood Park and Spruce Grove.
Rounding out the league lineup in the Coast West division will be Alberni Valley, Cowichan Valley, Nanaimo, Powell River and Victoria, while Coast East will feature Chilliwack, Coquitlam, Langley, Prince George and Surrey.
"We are pleased with the home schedule for the upcoming season," said Warriors president Chris Laurie in the league announcement of the regular season schedule.
"It welcomes the opportunity for big promotional nights and large crowds at Royal LePage Place. Mixing in the Alberta teams will be a nice addition."
The Warriors' home game schedule will prominently feature weekend games with 23 Friday/Saturday games, one Sunday game, one Tuesday game and one Wednesday game.
Key game schedule dates cited by the Warriors include:
• Friday, Sept. 20, at Cranbrook Bucks - regular season begins
• Friday, Sept. 27 vs. Vernon Vipers – home opener
• Saturday, Dec. 14 vs. Penticton Vees - final game before Christmas holiday break
• Friday, Dec. 27 vs. Cranbrook Bucks - resumption of regular season
