After a successful cleanup of two of the most used and trashed back-country sites in 琉璃神社, the Okanagan Forest Task Force is preparing for their third cleanup in honour of a man who went missing from the area three years ago.

鈥淲e are planning on cleaning up what鈥檚 left from the sad disappearance of Terrance Michael Landon,鈥� OFTF president Kane Blake said. 鈥淭errance went missing Dec. 26, 2013 and left behind a truck and camper trailer that has been repeatedly vandalized.鈥�

Blake said the truck has been shot at and the trailer has been trashed and ripped apart.

"We are doing this clean up with sadness in our hearts and him in our thoughts,鈥�  he said.

The clean-up will take place Nov. 5, and those interested in volunteering are asked to meet at James Lake at 9 a.m. that day.

鈥淲e also have a couple other places in the area that we will be trying to clean up as well that have been the scene of illegal dumping,鈥�  said Blake. 鈥淲e are always looking for more people who are not afraid to get their hands dirty and come help.鈥�

Blake said that the Regional Waste Reduction Office supplied the bin and supplies along with Winn Rentals for the equipment to do this clean up, and the task force that started in August is thankful.
