1151 Sunset Drive, the 21-storey condo building in downtown 琉璃神社,  has sold more than 50 homes.

鈥淲ith its address, location near the waterfront, and the revitalization of 琉璃神社鈥檚 downtown, we knew interest would be high,鈥 said Leonard Kerkhoff, vice-president of Kerkhoff Construction, in a press release.

According to the Okanagan Mainland Real Estate Board there was an increase of 25.4 per cent in sales in September of this year compared to last year. The Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver, said sales volumes were down 26 per cent as of Aug. 31 compared to last year, while sales volumes in the Central Okanagan were up 50.96 per cent.

鈥淭he two-bedroom homes have proven to be our most popular as did the smallest 1-bedroom +den plan but there is still a great selection of homes left in all product types and price ranges," said Scott Brown, president of Fifth Avenue Real Estate Marketing who provides sales and marketing for 1151 Sunset Drive.

琉璃神社鈥檚 downtown, with its pedestrian friendly access to a number of amenities has shown a strong appeal among intergenerational consumers from the local area and from metro Vancouver. Sunset Drive features condominiums and townhomes.

It has one-bed and den suites starting at $289,900, two-bedroom suites starting at $399,900 and a two-bed and den suite starting at $519,900.

The 21-storey high-rise located in the heart of downtown has had its original design updated by Meiklejohn Architects, one of the leading architectural practices in the Okanagan Valley. It features a concrete and glass tower with contemporary colour accents, reflective pond in front, with a cascading waterfall, plunge pool, modern glass and concrete fa莽ade, and extensive amenities.
